After the destructive blaze in 2018 at the historic Bank Buildings in Belfast, the building needed years of restoration to be fully functional. After four years, Primark is finally re-opening at Bank Buildings in Belfast. Belfast’s Mayor, Tina Black, was invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

There was a long queue of customers excited to visit their favourite store. The new store is a sprawling 88,200 square feet and boasts a Disney-themed café to provide an immersive experience for its customers. There is also a new addition to the nail and beauty studio.

The re-opening of Primark has created at least 300 jobs for the people of Belfast. Restoring the historic building to its glory took almost 100 million pounds and four years. The construction has engaged various crafts and tradespeople from the UK and Ireland. More than 40 stonemasons were required to carve out new stones and repair the existing ones. Nevertheless, the people of Belfast are very happy to have Primark back in their city.
