'Prima Facie' starring Jodie Comer in her debut in Broadway. Check opening date, location

The latest play by Suzie Miller "Prima Facie", featuring Jodie Comer starts its Broadway previews on April 11, 2023, Tuesday, at the Golden Theatre, with an opening night date of Sunday, April 23.

With Empire Street Productions producing, Justin Martin will direct Comer in the US premiere and Broadway debut of the blockbuster West End production.

In a statement, Comer stated that she can't wait to continue her adventure with Prima Facie on Broadway this spring. She went on to say that she never imagined herself having the opportunity to play on Broadway given a plot as different and hard-hitting as this one. She was honoured that it would be housed in a theatre with such a rich history as the Golden Theatre.


Prima Facie will perform during a tightly restricted 10-week run. On Wednesday, November 16, tickets will go on a general sale.



Comer portrays Tessa, a energetic, young and bright lawyer who has risen from working-class beginnings to the top of her game, defending, cross-examining, and winning, until an unforeseen incident forces her to confront the boundaries where patriarchal authority, the burden of proof, and morals split.
