Premier League: Newcastle United given green light to loan Saudi Pro League players after vote
Premier League clubs will reportedly not vote in favour of blocking related-party loans. Newcastle will be permitted to sign players on loan from the Saudi Pro League in January.

During the vote, thirteen clubs voted in favour of the temporary block on loan moves between teams under the same ownership. During the vote, it has been understood that 'Premier League clubs have voted against a temporary ban on loan deals between associated clubs for the January transfer window.'
This means that The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) which has a majority stake in Newcastle (80 per cent), the club is now in a position to loan players from the four Saudi Pro League clubs also owned by PIF in the upcoming window. It can choose players fromAl Nassr, Al Ahli, Al Ittihad and Al Hilal, four of the leading Saudi Arabian clubs.
Other high-profile former Premier League players currently at PIF-owned clubs include Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nassr), Roberto Firmino (Al-Ahli), Sadio Mane (Al-Nassr) and Riyad Mahrez (Al-Ahli).
PIF, which is governed by Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan, have assets of £250bn - making Newcastle one of the richest clubs in the world.
Other major decisions that were also discussed included the new EFL deal and the recent 10-points deduction from Everton. It has been reported Everton could potentially face claims for tens of millions of pounds. The clubs have 28 days from the date of the ruling to decide.
Everton has 14 days from the ruling to lodge an appeal.
