Nuno Espírito Santo, the Portuguese football manager, can come back to Wolves, with the club’s former head coach as one of the candidates to carry on the legacy of Bruno Lage. Last November, the 48-year-old manager was dismissed by Tottenham. Julen Lopetegui rejected the position for personal reasons, and now the Wolves are left with Nuno.
Despite an unsuccessful spell at Tottenham, Nuno Espírito Santo is popular among the Wolves fans.
Nuno currently manages Al-Ittihad.
Nuno Espírito Santo signed a two-year deal with Al-Ittihad. This could restrict Nuno to Wolves. Jorge Mendes, Nuno’s agent, has a significant stake in Molineux and could mitigate something.
If Wolves make this grand reunion, Nuno will rejoin the club seventeen months after being laid off. He left after a mutual agreement to finish in 13th position in 2020–21.
