Four-time kickboxing world champion, Andrew Tate, a was falsely reported dead yesterday after Piers Morgan's Twitter account was hacked. Hackers shared fake news of his demise. In the early hours of the morning, Tate's account was hacked, resulting in a series of offensive tweets, Mirror reported.

Hackers also threatened to release private messages to and from Morgan involving high-profile celebrities. The most popular tweet, however, was one in which Tate was killed in Dubai, with over 4.6 million people reading the news, the report says.

Tate has appeared on Morgan's show three times, with a number of memorable moments involving the pair going viral. They appear to have formed a friendship, which would have made the post more credible to Twitter users who saw it.

Morgan's account appears to be in the process of being restored. His tweets are now wiped and his profile picture replaced with a generic post. "BREAKING NEWS: Andrew Tate has been found shot dead in Dubai," read the tweet about Tate. Tate joked that he is "difficult to kill."

Hackers then shared private messages between Morgan and tennis legend Andy Murray, with the conversation centered around the World Cup in Qatar. The DMs, which were recorded on December 18 during the World Cup final, show Murray telling Morgan that it has been a "tough few weeks there," probably referring to Cristiano Ronaldo's poor performance at the tournament.
