After the families in Northern Ireland, DWP claimants will be granted their "second cost of living" payments by November 23, while payment to tax credit claimants who don’t receive other means-tested benefits shall be made between November 23-30.

DWP recipients will receive the payments under the reference "<National Insurance Number> DWP COL" and for HMRC recipients, the reference will be "HMRC COLS".

State Secretary Chris Heaton-Harris said that the government was committed to helping families in need in Northern Ireland. He further claimed that the government was keen on supporting the vulnerable sections of society facing the challenge of rising costs. Likewise, Mel Stride, Secretary of Work and Pensions, affirmed that the government was working to ensure millions of low-income families get the support needed.
