Not all is well, according to a book by a palace insider. Meghan Markle found adjusting to the “Royal Life” extremely difficult and was especially unhappy that she wasn’t paid for Royal Tours while in Australia.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been referred to as “bullies” and “greedy” in a book by Valentine Low which has been published recently. Meghan Markle’s behaviour has reportedly been trashed by the author, Royal Correspondent for The Times.

In an explosive claim, Valentine Low said that Prince Harry felt insecure that Meghan would dump him if he did not make their relationship public. She had threatened that she would call off the relationship if Harry didn’t quickly do something about it. Harry had no choice but to give in to his beautiful girlfriend. Meghan got her way done but certainly at the cost of ruining relationships with various staff members and the royal family.

Meghan wanted the public to accept her relationship with Harry as “serious.” She was sure that the palace was against her and didn’t want to protect her from the media who was reading into the relationship and deliberately giving Meghan “bad press.”

At one time, she is said to have spoken rudely to palace staff and said that, instigated by the palace, the staff was made to not care about the girlfriend. In October 2016, Meghan’s and Harry’s relationship was made public. In November 2017, they were engaged.

2018 saw the erstwhile Royal Couple, Meghan and Harry, visit Australia, and Meghan was described as an inspirational role model that same year. Valentine Low claims that Meghan Markle couldn’t understand the importance of state visits and the countless shaking hands with strangers. She would often express her distaste about not being an aid for her public appearance.

Meghan bullying staff members was a common complaint made to palace management. Before leaving for Canada and the USA, Meghan’s role as a bully came to light, and this book would be on the shelves next month.

Meghan pulled the plug on a plan drawn up by a staff and asked her to put forth an entirely new plan. On being explained by the staff that it would be challenging to implement a new plan, Meghan insisted on a new plan from that staff by implying she could have it done by someone else. That staff member burst into tears in front of William, and he assured her that she was doing a fantastic job.

The boom also talks about how a staff member was harassed by Meghan when she was out for dinner on a Friday. Every five minutes, she would receive calls from the Duchess, which went on for days.

Meghan’s PA, Melissa Toubatti, resigned six months after the Royal Wedding. The reason was that Meghan didn’t like her attitude towards implementing the “no freebies rule” of the palace. Royals were not allowed to accept gifts from commercial companies. The palace probed this complaint, but the report would not see the light of day as informed by the sources.

The Press Chief of Sussex, Jason Knauf, was reinstated by William and Kate in their office after he gave a complaint in writing to the Palace chiefs and quit. Meghan’s private secretary Samantha Cohen, a senior in her work, was also subject to Meghan’s bullying. Staffers were also mistreated on the Australian Tour.

Meghan and Harry got a new staff team set, but by 2019 they were sure they would quit the role of working royals. Harry complained to Oprah Winfrey on her show that his brother William and he were on different paths and didn’t see each other. At this, William was deeply hurt and wanted to meet Harry. William informed Harry that he would have to inform his private secretary about Harry’s visit to ensure his diary was not disturbed. Harry avoided meeting William because he feared the press would get the information.

Harry and William have not spoken much after he and Meghan left for Canada in 2020.
