According to Dyfed-Powys Police, a cow wreaked havoc after escaping from Whiteland Mart situated in Carmarthenshire. The animal seems to have headed to the centre of Whitland village and at the North Road, it injured an elderly man. The cow caused serious injuries to the man after attacking and trampling him.

The elderly man was taken to the nearby Cardiff's University Hospital of Wales for treatment by air ambulance. Dyfed-Powys Police, through its Twitter account, said that some trains were suspended as the cow went onto the rail track. The suspensions were made in order to mitigate danger, they said.

In reply, a woman named Karen said she heard the sound of an air ambulance and added that she hoped the gentleman would be alright.

The cow that was reported as “dangerously out of control” made its way to a field close by.
