BBC Radio 6 Music revealed that Cillian Murphy will be hosting a music show exclusively on its channel. It will be a limited edition show to be aired on Sunday nights, premiering September 17, 2023.

BBC Radio tweeted, "We're thrilled to announce that Cillian Murphy’s Limited Edition returns to 6 Music on Sundays, 10pm-12am from 17th September."


BBC Radio further revealed in the statement: "His weekly nocturnal playlist sees Cillian explore music from all corners of his record collection & share why they hold a special place in his life."

The Peaky Blinders actor himself announced the show with host DJ Nemone on Friday, September 1. “It’s been a while, but I am thrilled to be back playing tunes on 6 Music, my favourite radio station in the world. The show will be a sound collage of new, old and limited edition tunes for your discerning ears. Can’t wait,” said Cillian Murphy.

In his teens, Cillian Murphy was part of a jazz-inspired band called ‘Sons of Mr Green Genes’. He went on to be part of other bands as an adult, where he did vocals and played the guitar.
