'Not Consequence-free', says Graham Norton as he schools John Cleese on 'Free Speech'
For a man of a particular age who’s been able to say "whatever he likes," it must be very hard when suddenly "some accountability" appears.

Encourage 'proper argument’:
The Monty Python star said earlier this week that he would discuss "woke" politics and culture on this new show as it would promote "proper argument." He has been outspoken about both.During Graham’s recent appearance at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, he addressed Cleese’s views and the idea of canon culture. Since 2007, Graham has hosted a show on the BBC called The Graham Norton Show.
Graham said that the word used is the wrong word and that it should be ‘accountability’. He related John Cleese’s complaints made in public about what you can’t say. Graham said that for a man of a particular age who’s been able to speak "whatever he likes," it must be very hard for the man as, all of a sudden, some accountability appears.
