Today marks Neymar Jr's 32nd birthday, a milestone in the illustrious career of the football icon who has graced pitches across the globe. Despite currently sidelined due to injury, Neymar Jr refused to let his birthday pass without celebration.

Taking to Instagram, he shared that he celebrated with friends. 'Celebre a vida' he posted.

Born on February 5, 1992, in Mogi das Cruzes, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Neymar embarked on his football journey at a tender age, honing his skills at the Santos FC youth academy at just 11 years old.

His professional debut with Santos came in 2009 at the age of 17, propelling the team to victory in the Copa do Brazil and Copa Libertadores in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Neymar's time at Santos saw him net an impressive 136 goals in 225 appearances.

Joining the Brazilian national team in 2011, Neymar became a pivotal figure in securing triumphs such as the 2013 Confederations Cup and the 2016 Rio Olympics gold medal, amassing 77 goals in 124 matches for his country.

Neymar's prowess attracted attention from European powerhouses, leading to his move to FC Barcelona in 2013. At Barcelona, he formed a formidable trio with Messi and Luis Suarez, contributing to the club's success, including a UEFA Champions League victory in 2015, with Neymar notching 105 goals in 186 appearances.

In 2017, Neymar made history with his record-breaking transfer to Paris Saint-Germain for EUR222 million. A consistent goal-scorer and creative force, he amassed 118 goals in 173 matches for the French side.

His achievements with the Brazilian national team include clinching the 2016 Olympics gold in men's football, with Neymar's leadership pivotal, notably sealing victory with a match-winning penalty in the final against Germany.

Currently plying his trade for Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, Neymar Jr is on the road to recovery from an ACL injury sustained in October of the previous year. Although he will miss Brazil's Copa America campaign in the United States, Neymar is expected to return to action for Al-Hilal next season, eager to continue his remarkable football journey.
