Nationwide Building Society launches Nationwide Fairer Share Payment. Check eligibility

Nationwide Building Society has launched Nationwide Fairer Share payment. Around 3.4 million members of Nationwide Building Society are eligible for £100 windfall. Nationwide Fairer Share payment is a reward for Nationwide Building Society members whom the mutual share the "deepest relationships".

A £340 million pot will reportedly be distributed to Nationwide Building Society members. Eligible members need to hold a qualifying current account and savings or mortgage product.

Nationwide Building Society is starting to inform eligible members about the payment this week. Nationwide Building Society members will be receiving payments automatically in their accounts in June, 2023.




Nationwide Building Society said that a number of members will become eligible for the reward. It has said that the payment will be done annually so that there won't be any impact on the financial strength of Nationwide Building Society.

"We have something important we’d like to share. Our profits. We’re a building society, not a bank, which means we can do things a little differently. That’s why today we’re launching The Nationwide Fairer Share," Nationwide Building Society tweeted.

"We’re giving eligible members £100. If you’re eligible, you can expect to receive the payment between June 13 and 30 June this year. You don’t need to do anything. So long as you still have an open current account with us, we’ll transfer it straight to you. Should you only have a joint current account, this is where we’ll make the payment," Nationwide Building Society has said.
