National Television Awards: Emmerdale cast receives heartfelt message from King Charles III at NTA

In a specially recorded message, King Charles III praised 'Emmerdale' which won the series drama category at National Television Awards (NTA) after entertaining viewers for half a century.

The host of the NTA surprised the cast of Emmerdale with heartfelt words from King Charles III at National Television Awards ceremony on Thursday. In a prerecorded speech, King Charles III joked that he was too old to remember that 'Emmerdale' was called Emmerdale Farm.

The Monarch said it is a testament to his production team's hard work, which has since become such a significant part of British culture, with hundreds of thousands of fans from all around the world eager to follow what remained of the Sugdens and their new neighbors.


Charles III was only 21 years old when he published his first environmental report. Since then, he has highlighted the dangers of air pollution with plastic waste, chemicals dumped in rivers, lakes, and oceans, and cars and planes.
