On October 3, Nicole Barnes, 29, died while with her youngest child at their Bootle, Merseyside, home. Family members described the mother, who was found dead close to her daughter after missing the school run, as "one in a million".

The mother of four was located after her partner received a call from the school asking why Nicole had not picked up the kids.

When Nicole was discovered, her companion Gemma attempted to revive her while they awaited emergency personnel.


A few weeks ago, Craig, 36, who was learning how to install carpets, lost his job. Nieve, 10, Scott, 7, Tom, 5, and Delilah, 3, who were their four well-behaved children, now have a single father.

Nicole's relative, Kim Jowett, has organised a fundraiser to 'lift the financial load' on Craig and their kids.



According to the Liverpool Echo, Craig is unclear about when he could finish his training and go back to work because his son Tom has a severe form of autism and Nicole battled for years to get him the treatment he needed.

The cause of Nicole's death remains unknown; according to Kim, everyone is incredibly saddened by it. According to her relatives, she was fit and had no problems.
