Legendary television broadcaster Sir Michael Parkinson appeared on the BBC Breakfast show to chat with Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt on Thursday. While on the show, Naga asked Sir Michael about how he felt seeing himself on the TV, to which he replied that he did not recognize himself.
Sir Michael Parkinson is arguably the most famous British TV broadcaster. Sir Michael presented the Parkinson talk show between 1971-1982 and then between 1998-2007. The iconic English journalist also presented other TV shows and worked in radio broadcasting as well. Speaking with Naga and Charlie on Thursday, Sir Michael said that he did not recognize the person as it was all a disguise.
Sir Michael further added that fame changes people, regardless of how one considers it. He said that the people’s reaction if one got famous. Sir Michael mentioned that fame made the worst person in one’s life, which writing didn’t do as it challenges all the time.
