The East of England will be under a yellow weather alert from 3 AM to 14 AM. GMT due to some areas' record-breaking low temperatures of -12.7C. The Met Office warned that road, aviation, and train services could be impacted or postponed as Brits geared themselves for another chilly day. It comes after a week of bitter cold, during which snowfall was limited to a few isolated areas.
Avoid risky roads and pavements during heavy snowfall On Thursday, in Bedfordshire, Woburn saw a low of -12.7C. (9.14F). In Andrewsfield, Essex, temperatures dropped to -10.7C (12.7F) throughout the night. According to the Met Office, unmanaged roads, footpaths, and cycle paths may have icy spots; slipping on the ice might be risky. If possible, it urged people to stay off the roads while ice remained.
