Merseyrail to operate restricted train service on October 1 in UK. Read details
Due to anticipated train strikes, Merseyrail has confirmed that it would only operate a restricted service on Saturday, October 1.

Although Merseyrail staff members are not engaged in the strike, Network Rail's agreements with temporary workers limit the train operator's capacity to provide a complete service. These strikes have been rescheduled after the action was halted earlier this month. Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on September 15 and 17, the RMT had put an end to the strikes.
Between 7.30 am and 6.30 pm, Merseyrail will operate an hourly service on the majority of lines.
On the day of the strike, there won't be any rail-replacement buses. Where required, passengers must make substitute travel plans. Beginning with the start of the service on Sunday, October 2, a regular service will be offered.
Andy Heath, the managing director of Merseyrail, said that they remain committed to working closely with Network Rail, thus allowing train services to function on their network during these further time frames of national disruption. However, everyone traveling on October 1 needs to be informed that it will probably be bustling on these trains.
