Meghan Markle suffered 'disgusting' threats to her life, reveals ex-counter terror chief Neil Basu
Former counter terror chief Neil Basu stated that police investigated "multiple" real threats against Meghan Markle when she resided in Britain.

When asked whether they were believable, he said, “Absolutely, and if you'd read what was written and were receiving it, the sort of language that's there, if you don't know what we know, you would constantly feel threatened”.
Basu said that there had been many threats against Markle, adding, “We have teams investigating it. For these threats, individuals have been prosecuted”.
He further stated that his beliefs may have lost him the top police position, describing his own experience with racism and how his ideas brought him into conflict with the government.
As soon as Meghan Markle's relationship with the Duke of Sussex became public in 2016, she was subjected to a barrage of racist and sexist attacks, prompting Prince Harry to release a statement in November 2016 criticising the hatred towards her on social media and in the tabloids.
A royal biographer has said that Meghan Markle is pressuring Prince Harry to criticise his family. The pair has been criticised as "disgusting" and "outrageous" for accepting a prestigious prize for highlighting "structural racism" inside the royal family.
