Former royal aide speaks out
Knauf first made headlines when it was revealed that he had submitted a formal complaint against Markle in an email to Prince William’s then-private secretary. His aim, reportedly, was to encourage Buckingham Palace to protect staff members, The Mirror reported.While Markle denied the allegations, her representatives dismissed them as a “calculated smear campaign.”
"I think it, it's tough, but it's probably quite good. You know someone who has been helping other people through how to deal with the public eye. You probably had to take your own medicine sometimes," Mirror quoted Knauf as saying.

He added that in any job, it is impossible to only take the fun parts, noting that this applied to both the royals and those working for them.
Knauf also stated that he had no regrets about his actions.
