Meghan Markle bullying allegations: Former UK royal aide Jason Knauf speaks out

Jason Knauf, a former royal aide who previously raised bullying allegations against Meghan Markle, has now spoken publicly about the claims, saying that sometimes people probably had to take their own medicine.

Knauf broke his silence during an appearance on 60 Minutes Australia.

He had earlier served as Communications Secretary at Kensington Palace for both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Former royal aide speaks out

Knauf first made headlines when it was revealed that he had submitted a formal complaint against Markle in an email to Prince William’s then-private secretary. His aim, reportedly, was to encourage Buckingham Palace to protect staff members, The Mirror reported.

While Markle denied the allegations, her representatives dismissed them as a “calculated smear campaign.”

"I think it, it's tough, but it's probably quite good. You know someone who has been helping other people through how to deal with the public eye. You probably had to take your own medicine sometimes," Mirror quoted Knauf as saying.

He added that in any job, it is impossible to only take the fun parts, noting that this applied to both the royals and those working for them.

Knauf also stated that he had no regrets about his actions.

During the 60 Minutes Australia interview, Knauf expressed goodwill towards the couple ans even wished then “the absolute best.”

He reflected on his time working for the Royal Family, recalling many great moments and describing Harry and Meghan's wedding as an amazing, magical experience.

In 2021, it was reported that Knauf allegedly wrote an email to Simon Case, Prince William's then-private secretary, a few years ago.

In the email, Knauf expressed concern over how Markle was able to "bully two PAs out of the household in the past year." He said that this treatment was "totally unacceptable."

The official stated that Markle "seems intent on always having someone in her sights."
