Marvel's Loki director Kate Herron joins forces with Award-winning writer Briony Redman for Doctor Who episode

Loki director and executive producer, Kate Herron, is teaming up with her long-time collaborator, Briony Redman, to co-write an upcoming episode of Doctor Who, featuring Ncuti Gatwa as the 15th Doctor. Herron, known for her work on the Marvel Loki series and directing episodes of Sex Education, is the latest creative talent to contribute to the highly anticipated season under the helm of Russell T. Davies.

Herron and Redman's partnership extends beyond the realm of Doctor Who, as they have previously worked together on various projects, including the comic "The Storkening" and sci-fi endeavors like "Miss Universe" and the short film "Smear." Their combined talents promise to bring a fresh perspective to the beloved time-traveling series.

Ncuti Gatwa, famous for his role in Sex Education, will step into the iconic role of the Doctor next year. However, before his tenure begins, viewers can look forward to three specials featuring David Tennant as the 14th Doctor.
