Manchester United's Ten Hag encourages steely performance against 'mad' Everton

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is gearing up for a challenging match against Everton this Sunday, well aware of the heightened emotions surrounding the club's recent 10-point penalty. "If they are mad and that’s their fuel, we have to match those standards. When we match the standards, we have a very good chance to win the game," asserts Ten Hag.

Addressing recent rumours of a fallout with Raphaël Varane, Ten Hag denies any issues and underscores the importance of internal competition within a top club.

"He’s a very important player, but there’s internal competition, and that [is how it] should be at a top club as we are," says Ten Hag. He clarifies that decisions regarding player selection are made based on the team's tactical needs.
