Wout Weghorst, the Dutch striker, has joined Manchester United on a loan deal from Turkish club Besiktas. The 26-year-old forward will spend the remainder of the season at Old Trafford, with the option for the loan to be made permanent in the summer.

Weghorst, who has scored 15 goals in 24 appearances for Besiktas this season, said he is excited to be joining one of the biggest clubs in the world. "I am very happy to be joining Manchester United," he said. "It is a dream come true to play for such a great club. I promise to give everything I have to help the team."

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said he is pleased to have Weghorst on board. "Wout is a striker with great potential, he's been in great form for Besiktas this season and we believe he can bring a new dimension to our attack."

Weghorst will wear the number 9 shirt for Manchester United and is expected to make his debut for the club in their next Premier League match. This signing will be a boost for United, who is looking to improve their attacking output in the second half of the season.
