Manchester United looks for new sponsor after parting ways with TeamViewer

Manchester United is looking for a new shirt sponsor after cancelling their partnership with TeamViewer. According to TeamViewer, a deal has been reached with Manchester United that will allow the club to look for a new front-of-shirt sponsor. The five-year arrangement between TeamViewer and Manchester United was scheduled to end in 2026 and was said to be worth £47 million annually.

But now that a "mutually-beneficial agreement" has been reached with the business software provider, Manchester United has the option of repurchasing the shirt sponsorship rights, which might subsequently be sold to some other interested buyer.

In an official statement, the club said, "Having agreed its partnership with TeamViewer at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Manchester United will be taking the opportunity to commence a focused sales process for a new shirt front partner in a normalised market."


The statement went on to say that TeamViewer's financial obligations to Manchester United would not alter as long as they continued to be the team's shirt front partner, but after that, their monetary obligations would reflect their role as a worldwide partner.


Since the announcement of the deal, TeamViewer's share price has fallen by over half, with shares presently trading at £10.55 as opposed to £31.65.
Amid all this, many changes are taking place at Old Trafford. Earlier this month, Cristiano Ronaldo's contract was terminated as a result of an explosive Piers Morgan interview.
