Eric Cantona, the football legend, has made a surprising shift into the world of music, much to the excitement of his fans worldwide. The 57-year-old announced his debut album, 'I'll Make My Own Heaven,' set for release on October 20th. This EP features songs in both English and French, including 'The Friends We Lost,' 'Tu Me Diras,' 'I'll Make My Own Heaven,' and 'Je Veux.'

Cantona, known for his illustrious career in football and occasional controversies, has explored various creative pursuits since retiring from the sport in 1997. He's delved into theatre, acting in movies, and establishing himself as a painter. Now, he adds music composition to his list of talents.

Sharing his passion for music, Cantona described writing as a means of self-expression, a way for him to exist. He mentioned that due to time constraints, he hadn't fully explored music until the lockdown period. During this time, he dedicated himself to mastering the guitar, despite his self-professed limited skills. He managed to craft several songs that will soon be shared with his eager audience.

The upcoming month will mark the beginning of Cantona's five-date tour, taking place in Manchester, London, and Dublin. However, he envisions this as just the start, as he hopes to include a "modest piano and cello" in his performances in the coming year.

Eric Cantona, who initially gained fame with Leeds and later joined Manchester United in 1992 for £1 million, left an indelible mark on English football. During his five years at Old Trafford, he clinched four Premier League titles and two FA Cups.
