Man chained by Boy George calls him 'monster', slams ITV's 'I'm a Celebrity' deal

A man who was pinned to the wall by singer Boy George has spoken out against his £500,000 deal with ITV. A deal has been made between ITV and Boy George for "I'm a Celebrity." Audun Carlsen can't shake the memory of the 2007 incident that led to George being incarcerated.

Carlsen claimed, "I still see the monster that he is every time I see him. It’s hurtful that ITV give him that platform," as per a report in Mirror.

Culture Club's lead singer was jailed for the attack in 2009. Furious, Audun says George has no business being the highest-paid performer on Celeb.



Boy George, whose real name is George O'Dowd, has said he assaulted the man because he was high on cocaine and having a mental break. After attending counseling, he stopped his drug use entirely. George has denied chaining Audun and has pleaded not guilty to the allegation of improper detention.

After being convicted of assault and wrongful detention, he received a 15-month jail term. He's back, including a performance on the BBC's The Voice. Also in 2017, he appeared on Piers Morgan's Life Stories to talk about it and broke down in tears.

In January 2007, Audun and George first spoke when the Karma Chameleon singer approached him via a dating website about doing a modelling job for his clothing company.
