Queen of Pop Madonna seemed to have not forgotten her disastrous interview with late 60 Minutes Australia correspondent Richard Carleton even though it has been 30 years since then.
This week marks the 30th anniversary of Madonna's revolutionary Erotica album and accompanying raunchy coffee table book, SEX. And the Queen of Music is remembering the occasion by reflecting on the path she created for other pop singers - while also reminding fans of the huge criticism she received.

The late Australian journalist, Richard Carleton, who sat down with Madonna for 60 Minutes Australia in 1992 to talk about her latest bawdy professional endeavours, provided the finest example of the unfavourable reaction.

Madonna posted a clip from the interview on her Instagram stories on October 23, Sunday, showing a frazzled Carleton informing the singer that the photographs in the SEX book were disgusting.

Madonna was shot in different sexual circumstances for the hardcover book, including full nudity on the front and appearances by actress Isabella Rossellini, model Naomi Campbell, and gay porn actor Joey Stefano.

Carleton expressed her fear, saying she had never seen anything like that. He must have seen the Playboy magazine, she responded. He answered sure, but she was different. The image of her masturbating in front of the mirror. That, he thought, was terrible. It just seems dreadful to him.
