After a prolonged period of anticipation with no Love Island updates, the show's return date has finally been announced. The upcoming season is scheduled to commence on Monday, June 5 2023, at 9pm on ITV2.
While details about the contestants entering the villa for this new season are still under wraps, they will undoubtedly aspire to follow in the footsteps of the winter season's victors, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan. This dynamic duo successfully clinched the £50,000 prize, although they eventually decided to go their separate ways.
During a conversation with RadioTimes.com, Sam Thompson, an Aftersun panellist and Love Island podcast host, shared his thoughts on the upcoming season and expressed his desire for a particular ex-islander to make a return, similar to Adam Collard's comeback in 2022.
Sam remarked, "I thought Adam Collard was a fantastic choice for a return. It added that extra bit of excitement. Although he didn't live up to my expectations entirely, I was hoping for a bit more of his trademark Adam Collard charm!"
"If I had the opportunity to bring someone back, I would choose someone who had a captivating presence. It would be incredibly entertaining to see someone like Chris Hughes return to the Love Island villa. I believe that would bring an incredible dynamic to the show!"
