In separate incidents, five people in London were stabbed within 24 hours on Friday. The latest incident occurred last night when a 17-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed in Peckham. The police arrived around 9.50 pm following reports of a stabbing.

The department said the boy was admitted for treatment, though his condition was not life-threatening. As per media reports, an investigation was underway, though no arrests have been made as of yet. The department has also requested witnesses or persons with relevant information to contact them or the NGO Crimestoppers.

The Peckham incident was preceded by stabbing incidents at Romford, Bexleyheath, Homerton, and Twickenham. All the incidents took place within 24 hours, putting a big question mark on London’s law and order situation.
