London: Muslim women assaulted on buses in Ealing, Hammersmith, Westminster, Hounslow. Know in detail

Metropolitan Police is probing the incidents of assaulting Muslim women on the London bus network in the areas of Ealing, Hammersmith, Westminster, and Hounslow. No one has been arrested so far.

The Metropolitan Police is in search of a man, who targeted and assaulted Muslim women on London's bus network in the Ealing, Hammersmith, Westminster, and Hounslow areas. It has released images of the man. The police have said that the man sits next to his victims and touches them, though he does not speak to them. It has been reported that more than 10 such incidents have happened between February 2022 and September 2023. The police are investigating these incidents.


Police release suspect's image


The Met also said that the suspect or the victim boarded the bus at Westfield Shepherds Bush, Ealing Broadway, or Acton High Street. Talking to the BBC, Det Sgt Matthew Brown said, "While his face is covered in the images, we are hoping that anyone who knows him will recognise him or his clothing and get in touch."



Police urge victims to contact


He said further, "Similarly, if you believe that you may have been targeted by this man, but have not yet spoken with police, please do get in touch - at the very least so that we can know that you are OK and are being supported."

No one arrested


No arrests have been made so far. Assuring the community about the probe, Brown said that the police are doing all that they can to identify and locate the suspect. The main problem is that the face of the suspect is covered in the images. But the Met Police hopes that anyone who knows him will recognise him or his clothing and get in touch.
