The first horrifying image of David Tennant from the new crime show ‘Litvinenko’, which looks at one of the most complicated and deadly investigations in Metropolitan Police history following the death of a former Russian Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti (KGB) officer, has been published by ITVX.
What is ‘Litvinenko’ about?
The new ITVX drama chronicles the investigation into the 2006 Polonium-210 poisoning of former Russian Federal Security Services and KGB member Alexander Litvinenko.
According to the synopsis, the drama would follow two police officers who were summoned to University College Hospital in London in November 2006 to examine a patient who was in poor condition. Alexander Litvinenko was the patient, a Russian dissident who believed he was poisoned on Vladimir Putin's direct instructions.
When will ‘Litvinenko’ be released?
Series, four-part, will premiere in the UK in December on the new streaming platform ITVX. In the United States, the release date is yet to be determined, so keep an eye on this space.
