LEGO opens first store in Ireland. Find out what is special
Globally famed LEGO is an abbreviation of the two Danish words 'leg godt', meaning “play well”. The brand has opened its first store in Ireland on Grafton Street.

Interestingly, the announcement regarding the opening of the store was made earlier this year.
The Irish LEGO store spanned over an area of 405 square meters and has two floors. The store is divided into different sections that feature LEGO favorites like Harry Potter and Star Wars.
The Irish influence was also visible at the store as it has a 3-foot-high Camogie player, which is made entirely of LEGO. There are also recreations of the Aviva Stadium, Poolbeg Towers and Ha'Penny Bridge with 2 LEGO buskers.
Notably, it is the 898th LEGO store in the world, and the company aims to establish 986 stores by the end of 2022.
As for safety-related concerns, the store will give wristbands to all those entering the shop. The wristband will permit the visitors to tour the store for 30 minutes. This safety precaution will be continued for the whole opening weekend.

According to a spokesperson of the company, the wristbands can be obtained directly from opposite the Dublin LEGO Store located on Grafton Street. The distribution of the wristbands will take place from 9 am every morning, added the spokesperson.
Moreover, the LEGO store claims to be a blend of digital and physical entertainment, called "retailtainment," in a retail environment.
One of the most significant features of the LEGO store is the "Minifigure factory" that allows visitors to create their own LEGO avatar.
While commenting on the opening of their first store in Ireland, Global Head of Retail of the company, Natalie Stojovic, stated that the LEGO group was delighted with this location.
