Police in Thames Valley, England, discovered human remains along with other items on Monday at home in Loxbeare Drive, Furzton, in Milton Keynes following a tip from a member of the public. It is expected to take some time before the bones can be legally recognised, but the police have switched their missing people search to a murder investigation.
Bones were discovered on a property less than a mile from Leah Croucher's home, just across from a lake that had been the subject of a previous police appeal. Officers appealed to residents who frequented the area around Furzton Lake in March, saying they were particularly keen to identify a figure dressed in black seen in images of the lake.
