Las Vegas showgirl Maris Digiovanni 'knifed in heart and died in friend's arms' in stabbing incident, say reports

Reports say that a Las Vegas showgirl Maris Digiovanni died “in the arms” of her friend after being stabbed in the heart by an attacker named Yoni Barrios.

Yoni Barrios, the alleged attacker, is said to have asked for a photo with a group of Las Vegas showgirls with a knife in his hands, and when they said “no”, he began a stabbing spree.

At approximately 11:42 am on October 6, the LVMPD received a stabbing report involving multiple victims.





Two were killed and six wounded:

During the terrible incident on Las Vegas Boulevard last Thursday morning, Maris Digiovanni was one of the two victims who got killed in a stabbing incident and six others were wounded.

According to the business owner of Best Showgirls in Vegas, Cheryl Lowthrop, Barrios was “smiling and friendly” before suddenly turning violent.

Lowthrop alleged that the incident “happened so fast”. She added that another woman called “Anna” is believed to have gone for Mari’s aid. It’s claimed that Barrios also stabbed Anna in the back, leading to a punctured lung.

Showgirls laughed at Barrios:

According to reports from ABC news, Barrios said in a police interview that he felt showgirls making fun of his clothing and laughing at him ahead of the attack. The arrest report stated that Barrios ran and looked for groups of people to ‘let the anger out.

The 47 years old Brent Allan Hallett was also killed in the attack, as per the reports.
