Latest speech of King Charles III received the highest rating on BBC with more than 8 million viewers tuning in. King Charles III thanked people for all the letters, cards, and messages that so many people have sent to him and his wife.

In a prerecorded speech delivered from the Chapel of St. George at Windsor Castle, close to where the late Queen and her husband Prince Philip were laid to rest, King Charles III paid tribute to his mother who died recently in September aged 96.

Keeping in mind the people who are also grieving the death of the Queen, King Charles told the nation that he was deeply touched by letters, cards, and messages that so many people have sent to him and his wife. He said he cannot thank them enough for the love and sympathy everyone has shown towards the whole family.

According to reports, 8.2 billion viewers tuned in to watch the King Charles III's speech, which is 1 million more than the Queen Elizabeth II's broadcast that was aired last year. ITV also claimed 1.43 million viewers on their network.

During his televised message King Charles also spoke about the crisis regarding the cost of living and the great anxiety and hardships being faced by many who are trying to give their bills and keep their families warm and fed. He also acknowledged the diversity in the country and how Britain is now a country of many beliefs and traditions. He mentioned that the churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, and gurdwaras have once again united in feeding the hungry and providing love and support throughout the year. He added that such heartfelt solidarity is the most inspiring expression of loving your neighbor as yourself.

Strictly Come Dancing was the next most viewed program after the King's speech with 4.8 million viewers while Call The Midwife also received significant numbers with 4.5 million views on the same TV schedule.
