King Charles III invited his extended family to Windsor for a Christmas party before moving on to Sandringham for the big day. This was a party that was one of the favourites of Queen Elizabeth II, which she held at Buckingham Palace. The party could not be held since 2020 and in 2021 due to the pandemic. The luncheon is organised for the entire royal family, with the extended family being invited, all 70 members. The event is generally celebrated with food, wine and crackers. Children are also asked for lunch, but they don’t sit with the elders and play typically and eat in their room.

King Charles III arrived alone, driven in a car for the event in Windsor Castle. The Prince and Princess of Wales are invited for lunch with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

However, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are missing from the luncheon this time. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been at loggerheads with the functioning of "the firm", which they say is a system of lies. They have been highly critical of the other royals, especially their father, King Charles III and Prince William.

Camilla drove in separately to Windsor wearing a blue jacket and also seen driving in was Princess Anne with her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. Prince Edward was also seen coming in for the party with his wife, Sophie Wessex and daughter Lady Louise Windsor.

Mike Tindall, a rugby player, married to the King’s niece Zara Tindall, revealed that he got to sit with Charles and enjoyed himself. There are about seven tables, so around 70 royals were there for lunch.
