KFC issues apology for Kristallnacht chicken, cheese push notification sent to customers. This is what happened
The company sent a push notification to German consumers, suggesting they 'commemorate' the atrocity against Jews by consuming its meals on the anniversary of the 1938 Kristallnacht.

According to the media, the fast-food restaurant sent a push notification on its app on Wednesday urging consumers to indulge themselves in the delicacies on the 84th anniversary of the 1938 Kristallnacht, or Night of Broken Glass.
On November 9, 1938, Nazi crowds across Germany set afire and plundered synagogues and Jewish-owned businesses, marking the beginning of the Third Reich's attempt to exterminate Jews.
The note purportedly stated, "Kristallnacht Commemoration, Treat yourself to additional soft cheese and crispy chicken. Now available at KFCheese!"
KFC issued another message roughly one hour later, blaming the incident on a technology malfunction, the reports added.
The statement expressed regret and stated that they would promptly review their internal protocols to ensure that this would not happen again.
They also asked that this mistake be excused.
