Following Jeremy Clarkson's explosive article in ‘The Sun’ in which he stated that he despised Meghan Markle, his daughter Emily Clarkson has come out in support of the Duchess of Sussex and criticised father's views.

Sharing a short statement on her Instagram Story, the podcaster and body positivity campaigner wrote: "My opinions are and have always been clear when it comes to sexism, bullying and the abuse of women by the media. I want to be clear that I oppose what my father said about Meghan Markle and will continue to support individuals who are the victims of internet hatred”.

Earlier this week, Emily criticised Mail Online for its coverage of the Duchess, saying: "This magazine, and many like it, are intent on destroying this woman”.

People on social media were very angry about Jeremy's article, especially because of the strong language he uses to show how much he hates the Duchess. Jeremy also accused Meghan of using Prince Harry as a "glove puppet" and predicted the couple's divorce.

Jeremy's daughter Emily had previously shown her support for Meghan earlier in December, saying on Instagram, " I honestly feel concern for anybody who can look at how she specifically has been written/joked/spoken about and believe that it's fair. It's mass bullying, and it pushed a young mother to end her own life."
