James Bond actor Daniel Craig was among the first famous industry people to pay respects to the Queen. Many celebrities are mourning the beloved Queen's death. Before she passed away earlier this year, the English actor recalled meeting the Queen while filming a short comedy skit for the London Olympics of 2012.

Speaking on a late-night show, the actor revealed that the 95-year-old is very funny and wanted to crack a joke about him. He added that while they were taking their photograph, she just went ahead and joked, 'Oh no, he's the one that doesn't smile.' The host then asked about the Queen's pet corgis.

The actor said that the corgis were always around and he got so acquainted with them that he used to roll on the ground with them. He believed that the dogs had their footmen.

In December 2021, Craig was awarded the Order of St. Michael and St. George on the New Year's Honor List, an honor usually awarded to diplomats and spies. The same recognition was given to his character, James Bond, which he portrayed. The last movie where he portrayed the character was “No time to Die”.
