Jack Sepple, 23, stabbed his 19-year-old girlfriend Ashley Wadsworth in his flat before video calling his sister and showing her the dead body.

He was jailed two weeks ago for murdering his girlfriend in his flat in Chelmsford, Essex.

During his trial, the court found out that Sepple had almost eight previous domestic violence convictions for twelve offences.

Sepple’s mother, Tracy Dalton, 55, also had a restraining order against him. Sepple damaged his mother’s car, including three windows and doors. The Essex Magistrate’s court issued his restraining order in 2018.

The restraining order banned him from even approaching his mother’s house, which expired in July 2019.

After the expiration of the restraining order, it seemed that the mother and son’s relationship was on the mend.

In August 2017, several employees of the American embassy in the Cuban capital of Havana said they had been hearing strange grating sounds for close to a year. Employees even reported hearing and memory loss and nausea because of the sounds. There were allegations of the Cuban government using sonic weapons to target the US citizens. Cuba, on its part, said the sounds were a result of the stridulation of Jamaican field crickets. The possibility of mass psychogenic illness was also suggested. Nothing was proven, and the US government reduced its staffing to a minimum.

In a hilarious diplomatic faux pas this October, the US consulate in Canberra, Australia, sent out invitation cards via an email to an unknown number of people. On these cards was the picture of a cat wearing a blue cookie monster outfit holding a plate of cookies. The card was titled “cat pyjama-jam”. Soon after, the embassy issued a public apology, relegating the email to an error on the part of trainees and jokingly said that organising such a party was outside their area of expertise.
