ITV news presenter accidentally drops C-bomb on air while discussing UK chancellor Jeremy Hunt
Last night, the blunder was done when the ITV political editor Robert Peston was discussing UK’s new chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s planned cuts on public spending, live on air.

During the ongoing discussion around the planned cuts to public spending by the new chancellor, the ITV political editor made the blunder. Robert Peston said there’s a bigger hole in the public finances than it would have been and spelt “Jeremy c***’s” while trying to say ‘Jeremy Hunt’s cuts’ will be “more painful”.
Twitter reaction:
The error was quickly picked up by social media users, with one tweeting that it’s never a good idea to use the word cuts and Jeremy Hunt “in the same sentence.”
Another wrote, “Never gets boring”, to joke about the incident.
The slip-up happened as the calling of Steve Baker a “c***” Outside 10 Downing Street by the Channel 4 presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy was caught on camera.
In a clip widely shared on social media, he could be heard laughing after making the slur.
A call for sacking the veteran broadcaster has since been made by Mr Baker, the Minister for Northern Ireland, If it’s proved that the broadcaster has breached his code of conduct.
The presenter apologised for it while describing the exchange as a “robust” one.
He tweeted that he “used a very offensive word” after a “robust” interview with Steve Baker MP. He further added that using the word in any context is “beneath the standard” he set for himself and that he apologises “unreservedly.”
