Boy George stands out in the images because of his unusual jacket spotting and crown-shaped cap in the images which have been revealed while the rest of the ensemble is seen dressed in their typical green khaki shirts and bright red pants for the kingdom.

Some, however, are questioning why the Culture Club artist was permitted to personalize his outfit, as the other stars in the lineup prepare to forego their typical everyday amenities in favour of the camp. A concert insider revealed that the singer Boy George, whose actual name is George Alan O'Dowd, was allowed to stand out for a simple reason.


It appears that Boy George just asked if he may customize his jersey for the shot, and ITV promptly agreed. You won't receive it unless you ask!



In addition to his spotted top, Boy George is wearing a crown-shaped cap, which might be a clue of how well he believes he'll perform in the tournament. He did refer to himself as the "Lion King." In his promotional photo, the 61-year-old is wearing his characteristic eye makeup, a smouldering red smoky eye to match his trousers.

As a celeb, viewers are aware that participants are often not able to bring their regular selection of cosmetic products, with just a few luxury items permitted in the camp. So, like the other superstars who were dolled up for official photos, we'd anticipate Boy George to go make-up-free when the series premieres.
