IDLES unveils fifth album 'TANGK' featuring collaboration with LCD Soundsystem

British band IDLES has set the music world abuzz with the announcement of their highly anticipated fifth album, TANGK, featuring a stellar collaboration with the renowned music group LCD Soundsystem on the lead single 'Dancer'.

Scheduled for release on February 16, 2024, via Partisan Records, TANGK follows their 2021 album, Crawler, and boasts an impressive production team that includes Nigel Godrich, Kenny Beats, and IDLES guitarist Mark Bowen.

Talking about the album, Frontman Joe Talbot said: "TANGK. I needed love. So I made it. I gave love out to the world and it feels like magic. This is our album of gratitude and power. All love songs. All is love."


Speaking about the pulsating single 'Dancer', Talbot described it as "the violence that comes from the pounding heart of the dancefloor and rushes through your body and gives you life from music, from love, and from you."

Fans were treated to a surprise performance of 'Dancer' and another new track 'Gratitude' at a recent show at London’s Village Underground, where the band, billed as TANGK, also delivered a setlist featuring well-loved hits from their previous albums.

The exciting album news comes in the wake of the band's earlier announcement regarding their upcoming 2024 European headline tour. The tour is set to kick off on February 29 in Porto and will see the band gracing stages across the continent until their final performance in Frankfurt on March 23.

Excited about the upcoming tour, the band expressed their gratitude to their European fans, promising an unforgettable series of shows.
