According to a plan conceived by developers David Roche and John Broome, the land was initially approved to be turned into an indoor theme park. However, by 1989, construction had been put on hold due to rising expenses.




Following that, the site was bought by several development firms, who had intentions to turn the station into homes, a museum, a recreational area, and more. However, none of these projects materialised.

The iconic London landmark is about to welcome visitors for the first time in its 90-year history after ten years of renovation.

Since the 1930s, Battersea Power Station has been a well-known landmark in London and is renowned for its distinctive art deco style. The enormous power plant has served as a beacon along London's skyline and is now one of the city's most recognisable monuments.

In operation from the 1930s until the 1980s, Battersea produced a fifth of the electricity used in London at its height, including that required for the supply of the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace.

Today, the Battersea Power station is a place where brand-new office buildings and opulent apartments are being built. One of the renovated turbine halls is open to the public for dining and shopping.
