Thailand has a highly technical martial arts scene. But this underground club has none of that finesse. It is just amateur fighters gathering for a bloody punch up.

The bout resembles a frenzied boxing match. But the setting in this poor port-side neighbourhood is nothing like the glitzy Muay Thai boxing stadiums.

The club's founders say that here you don't have to know how to fight. You just need to have heart and that's it. Amateur fighters can test their skills -- or just vent their aggression.

The popularity of the club is due to a variety of occupations and fighting styles that are different from the styles in the professional. You can use all four limbs. But elbowing, grappling, throwing opponents to the ground and punching to the back of the head are strictly prohibited.

The fights have continued despite the police knowing about it. And despite allegations that they violate the Boxing Act. But the club insists it is not governed by the Boxing Act.

You would have guessed by now where the name came from. Yes, from the cult Brad Pitt movie 'Fight Club'. But unlike in the movie you are allowed to talk about the club. In fact it's a hit on social media.
