IBF light-middleweight: Natasha Jonas beats Marie-Eve Dicaire on points to win title

Natasha Jonas added another feather to her cap with a win over Marie-Eve Dicaire. She won a whopping third world title in just nine months and capped the year with great memories for herself and women's boxing.

Natasha Jonas, the unified champion, bettered Marie-Eve Dicaire to add another title (IBF) to her WBO light-middleweight and WBC belts in Manchester.

Natasha won the world title for the first time in February this year and then unified it in September. She won a whopping third world title in just nine months and capped the year with great memories for herself and women's boxing.

Natasha won on points unanimously to beat Dicaire from Canada, only her second defeat in her professional career. The judges gave the scores in favor of Jonas, and Jonas believes the fight was very tough, as she mentioned in the interview after the match.

Natasha said it had been her best year in the sport, and she couldn't even imagine how she thought it was almost all over and wanted to walk away. She now stood with three belts, a Ring (Magazine) belt, and a unified champion.

Jonas is the first boxer in the Olympics for Great Britain and has won 13 fights since becoming a professional. She has one draw and two losses. Dicaire has only two losses; her record stands at 18-2. She lost to Claressa Shields last year.
