Hugh Jackman has explained why he decided to play Wolverine once again for up Deadpool 3. The ‘Logan’ actor has revealed that the idea was in making ever since he watched Deadpool.

Hugh Jackman has revealed what prompted his choice to reprise his role as Wolverine. Despite determining that the 2017 film "Logan" would be his final appearance as the X-Men character, the Australian actor had announced in September that he would reprise the role in the third Deadpool film.

Many people, including "Logan" director James Mangold, were left perplexed as to how Hugh Jackman's Wolverine could return despite being killed off.

In a recent interview, Hugh Jackman revealed that viewing the first Deadpool picture changed his mind. Jackman also said that he attended a Deadpool viewing, and just 20 minutes in he thought, "Wow."


Hugh Jackman went on to say that all he could think of was the film 48 Hours, starring Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy. So, it's been simmering for a while. He just took a little longer to get there. He claimed that up until that point, Reynolds had been appealing to him daily to collaborate on a Deadpool project. He stated that he felt he had given up and that it came as a tremendous surprise to him. Deadpool 3 will hit theatres in 2024.
