'House of the Dragon’: See interesting facts about Daeron, the Targaryen missing from series
Die hard fans of the 'Fire and Blood' are curious about only one Targaryen that is missing from the original cast and the mystery behind his character is worth exploring for a variety of reasons.

But without a doubt, he has been mentioned twice on the show. For the ones that keep an eye out, the devil is in the details. If we notice closely, in the opening credits, the four lines of blood flowing from Alicent signify her children: Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney), Helaena (Phia Saban), Aemond (Ewan Mitchell), and Daeron. Daeron was cut from the first season to avoid recasting another young character. But his addition in Season 2 is already assured. At this point, Daeron may not seem that important at first glance. But he will play a significant role in the upcoming conflict.
Fire & Blood provides the roadmap of what will happen in the future. It tells the tale of Daeron's role in the Dance of the Dragons. As greens have very few dragonriders, Daeron becomes an important asset in his brother's war despite his young age, he fights with the Hightower army, earning a significant role in his first battle, the Battle of the Honeywine.
In Fire & Blood, Ormund was in a situation of death and misery when he sent messages to both Aegon and Aemond asking for help as his situation grew urgent, but Aegon was injured, and Aemond was preoccupied with his pursuit of Daemon. Ultimately, it was Daeron who flew in to save Ormund Hightower during the battle from a certain defeat. Daeron earns the degree of knight, Ormund giving him the title Daeron the Daring.
