Has Prince Harry and Meghan Markle bought a European vacation home after being kicked out of Frogmore Cottage? Here's all you need to know

After King Charles evicted them from Frogmore Cottage, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly purchased a vacation home in Portugal. They chose Portugal, where Princess Eugenie and her husband also own property.

Following their eviction from Frogmore Cottage, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly bought a vacation home in Europe.

According to Page Six, Harry's relatives, Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, also own a vacation home north of Lisbon, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have purchased a property in Portugal.

The expense might lead to the former ‘Suits’ star applying for a Golden Visa, which would allow the American actress to enter any of the 26 Schengen countries in Europe, such as Italy, Spain, and Greece, without any restrictions, as quoted in a report by Page Six.

After his youngest son left the royal family in 2020, Charles evicted Harry, 40, and Markle, 43, from Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, UK, and they bought the property more than a year later.

The 75-year-old king began the eviction process in January 2023, one day before Harry published his shocking memoir, ‘Spare,’ which contained a number of accusations regarding his family, according to a report by Page Six.

Harry and Meghan's stay in the UK will undoubtedly come to an end with this eviction. In June of that year, the royals vacated their cottage, with Prince Andrew allegedly being appointed the estate's caretaker. Among the belongings transported back to the U.S. were gifts from the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Harry and Meghan, who relocated to California in 2020, infrequently stayed at the Windsor property, which served as their official residence in the UK. They currently reside full-time at their Montecito estate with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Diana.

The couple reportedly developed a fondness for Portugal after a romantic getaway on the Iberian Peninsula last summer, where they visited the Costa Terra Golf and Ocean Club resort in Melides.

Notably, Harry's estrangement from his family has continued, as he has not visited them abroad, and he and his brother, Prince William, maintained distance during their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes’ funeral services in Norfolk in August.
