Happy Valley season 3 pictures, first look are out as Sarah Lancashire, James Norton return

Sarah Lancashire has returned to the 3rd season of Happy Valley along with James Norton, and the pictures here give a good idea of what fans can expect from the new series. The story is about a police officer, Sergeant Cawood, who goes after a jailbird, Tommy, who has raped a teenage girl, Becky. This season too, will see Siobhan Finneran come back as the sister of Sergeant Catherine Cawood, and her screen name is Clare. Rhys Connah, a child in the earlier series, also comes back as Catherine’s grandson Ryan in this series. The role of Tommy Lee Royce is again going to be played by James Norton, and this time he is sporting a beard and a stitched-up forehead.





The story was written and directed by Sally Wainwright, and in 2015, Happy Valley won the BAFTA Award for Best Drama. The third series is also expected to be good, with most of the cast being repeated in their roles. Sally Wainwright has a good style of narrating stories, and this series is also expected to go down well with the audience. Becky, the adolescent daughter of Sergeant Catherine, killed herself after giving birth to Ryan, a rape victim. Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton), who committed the act of sexual assault against Becky, is now out after serving time in jail, and Sergeant Catherine is pursuing him.
