Three years after its last appearance, the Great Scottish Run is back. As information centres open at 9 am and 8 am on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, runners will pass through some of the nicest parks.

The Great Scottish Run attracts athletes and amateurs, and Eilish McColgan, the 10,000m champion at the Commonwealth Games, will participate in the 10k. Callum Hawkins and his brother Derek will race at home with Inverclyde's Adam Craig. The route will pass many of the city's landmarks, and the marathon will start in the city's heart.
