Paris' renowned wax museum, the Grevin Museum, has taken down the wax figure of actor Gérard Depardieu in response to negative feedback from visitors concerning allegations surrounding his behavior with women.

The decision comes after a recent French television report exposed the actor's controversial actions during a 2018 trip to North Korea, contributing to a tarnished reputation. Depardieu, 74, facing rape allegations since 2020, vehemently denies all charges.

The removal of the waxwork coincides with a disciplinary procedure initiated by France's culture minister regarding the actor's Order of the Legion of Honor, prompting Depardieu to voluntarily relinquish the honor through his lawyers.
